Jason’s Vision for Thornton’s Future.

Key Priorities

As we shape the future of Thornton, it's important to prioritize the values that bring us together as a community. Our city is vibrant and growing, presenting both challenges and opportunities. Together, we can build a future that promotes prosperity, safety, sustainability, and community engagement.

As your City Council candidate, I am dedicated to creating a thriving and inclusive Thornton.

Our key priorities—homeownership, infrastructure, public safety, sustainability, economic development, education, and parks—are all interconnected. Together, they contribute to a community where everyone can thrive.

Let’s work together to create a future that reflects the hopes and aspirations of all residents and ensures Thornton remains a wonderful place to live for generations to come.

  • Strengthening Public Safety in Thornton

    Our Vision:

Public safety is the foundation of a thriving, connected community. As a candidate for Thornton City Council, I am deeply committed to ensuring every resident feels safe in their neighborhood. Safety impacts everything—from our quality of life and family well-being to economic opportunity and long-term growth.

That’s why I’m proud to have my campaign endorsed by Thornton Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2376Adams County Sheriff Gene Claps, and District Attorney Brian Mason. These respected public safety leaders know I’m committed to protecting our community with real solutions—not rhetoric.

My vision for a safer Thornton includes a multifaceted, community-driven approach. We must invest in crime prevention, strengthen emergency preparedness, and expand access to mental health support and crisis response. At the same time, we need to build strong, trusting relationships between police, firefighters, emergency medical services, and our residents—ensuring that safety efforts reflect the unique needs and values of our community.

Public safety is a shared responsibility. I will work to strengthen support for our first responders while ensuring safety policies reflect the values and needs of all Thornton residents. Through smart investment, innovation, and genuine community engagement, we can build a city where everyone feels safe, seen, and supported.

Together, we can keep Thornton safe—and make it a place every family is proud to call home.

  • Improving Thornton’s Infrastructure and Traffic Management

A well-connected, reliable city starts with strong infrastructure. As a candidate for Thornton City Council, I’m committed to making sure our roads, transportation systems, and public facilities keep pace with our city’s growth—and reflect the needs of our residents.

    Our Vision:

As Thornton continues to grow, we must address the challenges that come with it—increased traffic, speeding, noise, and aging infrastructure. From repairing potholes on roads like Highway 7 to improving safety at critical intersections like the 128th Avenue roundabout, we need solutions that are proactive and community-driven.

I strongly support the Thornton Vision Zero program, which seeks to eliminate serious injuries and fatalities on our roads. Every resident—whether walking, biking, or driving—deserves to feel safe moving through our city.

My vision includes modernizing our infrastructure, reducing traffic congestion, and preparing for future transportation needs. By investing wisely and planning responsibly, we can create a safer, more efficient, and more accessible Thornton for everyone.

As your City Council representative, I will work to ensure our infrastructure supports both our current quality of life and the city we are building for the future. Together, we can keep Thornton moving forward.

  • Our Vision:

Homeownership is more than just a dream—it’s a foundation for community stability, economic strength, and personal fulfillment. As housing prices rise and availability tightens, many families in Thornton are concerned about their ability to stay, grow, and thrive here. That’s why I’m committed to making homeownership more attainable—for current residents and for future generations.

We must confront the challenges of high housing costs, limited supply, and rising interest rates head-on. But we must do so without compromising the integrity and character of our neighborhoods. Thornton deserves smart, intentional development—growth that reflects our values, respects the identity of our existing communities, and prepares our city for the future.

As your candidate for Thornton City Council, I will champion policies that support  homeownership, protect existing homeowners, and encourage thoughtful, balanced growth.

Together, we can develop our city into something we’re all proud to call home—a place where families can plant roots, build community, and thrive.

Let’s work together to shape a housing future that reflects who we are and where we’re going—without losing what makes Thornton special.

  • Enhancing Parks and Recreation in Thornton

    Our Vision:

As a candidate for Thornton City Council, I’m committed to improving the health, happiness, and quality of life for all residents through vibrant, accessible parks and recreation opportunities. Parks are more than just open spaces—they’re where families connect, neighbors gather, and communities thrive.

I envision a connected parks and trails system that allows residents in every part of Thornton to access and enjoy the outdoors. From northern neighborhoods to citywide destinations, everyone should have a clear, safe path to our shared green spaces.

With the city’s park use study nearing completion, I will advocate for investments based on real community needs—adding amenities like tennis courts, hockey rinks, and multi-use sports fields that engage both youth and adults. I also support the development of more community parks that provide spaces for families to gather, play, and stay active.

At the same time, we must ensure our parks and public spaces are well-maintained, clean, and beautiful—reflecting the pride we all have in Thornton.

As your City Council representative, I will work to expand and protect our parks and recreation system—creating healthier, more connected spaces that improve the overall quality of life for every Thornton resident.

  • Fostering Economic Development in Thornton for a Strong Future

    Our Vision:

As a candidate for Thornton City Council, a commercial banker with over 20 years of experience, and a long-serving member of the Adams County Regional Economic Partnership (AC-REP), I’ve spent my career working to grow local economies and support small businesses. I understand firsthand that a thriving economy is essential to our city’s long-term success and to the well-being of every resident.

Economic development isn’t just about attracting new businesses—it’s about creating a strong, supportive environmentwhere local entrepreneurs can thrive, good jobs are accessible, and families have the resources they need to succeed.

I envision a diverse and resilient economic landscape in Thornton that promotes innovation, encourages entrepreneurship, and invests in workforce development. My priority is to make Thornton a place where small businesses grow, major employers invest, and residents of all backgrounds can access opportunity.

With my proven experience and deep understanding of our region’s economy, I will champion smart, inclusive policies that build a stronger future for Thornton—one that benefits everyone.

  • Committing to a Sustainable Future for Thornton – A Common-Sense Approach

    Our Vision:

Thornton’s future depends on smart, sustainable choices—but those choices must be rooted in common sense and fiscal responsibility.

As a candidate for City Council, I’m committed to practical, balanced solutions that protect our environment, improve quality of life, and support responsible growth—without placing unnecessary burdens on taxpayers or small businesses.

Sustainability should work for everyone. That means improving energy efficiency, supporting green infrastructure, and expanding access to parks, trails, and transit in ways that are cost-effective and forward-thinking.

Through wise investment, responsible planning, and community collaboration, we can protect Thornton’s natural resources, support economic resilience, and build a city that’s prepared for future challenges.

Together, we can create a greener, more resilient Thornton—the right way.
